Whether you are submitting a school logo, sponsor logo, team artwork, or a completed design, high quality files help produce a finished product that looks crisp, sharp, and professional. Use this guide to prepare your artwork before placing your order.
Accepted File Types
Original artwork files are always preferred. The best file type depends on whether you are submitting a logo, photo, or completed design.

Raster files may work well when they are supplied at a high resolution and large enough for the finished product.

Design Size & Safe Area
Customers providing completed artwork are responsible for supplying the design at the correct finished size and keeping important elements away from the edges.
Submit Artwork at the Final Print Size
Whenever possible, your completed artwork should be created at the exact size ordered. The artwork proportions must also match the finished product. Artwork with different proportions may require cropping, resizing, or design adjustments.

Leave a 2-Inch Safe Border
We recommend keeping all important text, logos, faces, names, numbers, and other critical design elements at least 2 inches inside all four edges of the finished banner.
This helps prevent important parts of the design from being affected by hem stitching, grommets, pole pockets, or normal finishing tolerances.
Background colors, textures, photos, and decorative graphics may extend all the way to the edge. Only important content needs to remain inside the safe area.

Grommets are normally installed around the perimeter of vinyl banners. Do not place important artwork where a grommet or hem stitch could go through it.
Resolution Guidelines
Large format printing enlarges every detail in a file. Artwork that looks acceptable on a phone or computer screen may appear blurry when printed at banner size.

Send the original file
Screenshots, social media downloads, website images, and files sent through messaging apps are often compressed. Whenever possible, send the original artwork directly from the designer, photographer, school, sponsor, or organization.

Providing a Completed Design
We can print completed artwork supplied by a photographer, designer, school, business, or customer. The file must be prepared for the product and finished size being ordered.
Correct Size
Create the artwork at the exact finished size whenever possible. Make sure the design proportions match the size selected during ordering.
Safe Placement
Keep important text, logos, faces, and other critical elements at least 2 inches away from every finished edge.
Print Ready
Outline or embed fonts, embed linked images, and provide the highest-quality original file available.
Files requiring additional work
Files that require rebuilding, extensive resizing, major corrections, logo recreation, or significant design changes may require an additional design fee. We will contact you before completing billable artwork services.

Does my completed artwork need to be created at the exact size?
Yes, whenever possible. Artwork should be created at the final print size and must use the same proportions as the product being ordered. For example, a 3' × 5' banner should be designed at 36" × 60".
Why do I need a 2-inch safe border?
Vinyl banners are commonly finished with hems and grommets around the edges. Keeping important design elements at least 2 inches inside the finished edge helps prevent stitching or grommets from going through text, logos, faces, names, or other critical artwork.
Do background colors and graphics need to stop at the safe border?
No. Background colors, photos, textures, and decorative graphics may extend to the finished edge. The 2-inch safe border applies to important content that should not be covered by stitching, grommets, or finishing.
Do I need a vector logo?
Not always. A large, high-resolution transparent PNG may work well. However, vector artwork usually provides the cleanest results, especially for large banners, sponsor signage, mascots, and logos containing small text.
Can MVP Banners recreate or vectorize my logo?
In many cases, yes. Logo recreation and vector conversion may require an additional fee depending on the complexity and condition of the original artwork. When vector artwork is created as a paid service, the finished vector files can be provided to the customer.
Will you check my artwork before printing?
Yes. We review submitted artwork for general size, resolution, proportions, and print quality. If we identify an obvious concern, we will contact you before production whenever possible.
Customers providing completed artwork remain responsible for the design content, spelling, sizing, layout, safe area, and final approval.
Can I send my artwork after placing the order?
Yes. You may upload the artwork through the product page when available or send the original file after ordering. Clearly include your name and order number so we can match the artwork to the correct order.
